Unora Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-07-13

This Privacy Policy explains how Beyond Logic AB ("Beyond Logic," "we," "our," or "us"), a company registered in Stockholm, Sweden, and the developer of the Unora iOS application (the "App"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the App. We are committed to protecting your privacy and to being transparent about how your data is handled — including where our practices involve advertising, analytics, and optional AI features.

Unora unifies messaging platforms into a single application, enabling you to send and receive messages from third-party messaging services ("Messaging Services") on your iOS device. Unora does not operate a server that stores your message content. This service is provided "AS IS."

By using Unora, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at privacy@unora.se.

1. Key Privacy Principles

  • No Message Content Storage: Unora does not operate a server that stores your message content. Messages are exchanged directly between your device and the respective Messaging Services, or, where a Messaging Service's own architecture requires it, relayed solely to establish or maintain your connection — without Unora reading, logging, or retaining the content.
  • Encryption: Connections between your device and each Messaging Service use that service's own security protocols, including end-to-end encryption where the Messaging Service itself provides it. Unora does not weaken or bypass any encryption a Messaging Service offers. Unora itself does not add end-to-end encryption to the separate categories of data described below (such as analytics, advertising, or the optional AI Features), which are processed as described in Section 2.
  • Local Credential Storage: Authentication tokens and session data for your connected Messaging Services are stored locally on your device, protected using iOS safeguards.
  • No Sale of Message Content: Beyond Logic does not sell or monetize the content of the messages, emails, or media you access through connected Messaging Services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to provide, secure, and improve the App, and to support the App's advertising and subscription model.

a. Information You Provide

  • Account Sign-In: To use the App, you sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. Depending on your chosen method and your privacy settings with that provider, we receive your email address, name, and a unique account identifier.
  • Connected Platforms: When you connect a Messaging Service, the App uses that platform's own authentication process. We do not receive or store your third-party account password.
  • Customer Support: Information you provide when contacting us for support, such as your email address and the content of your message.

b. Automatically Collected Information

  • Crash and Performance Logs: Diagnostic data to identify and resolve technical issues and to measure app startup and load performance.
  • Device and Usage Information: Device identifiers (including your device's advertising identifier where you have consented, and a device-scoped installation identifier), OS version, app version, language/locale, and in-app events such as onboarding progress, screen views, and which platforms you have connected.
  • Advertising Identifiers: If you consent via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, we and our advertising partners may collect and use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to serve and measure ads. If you decline, ads are shown without cross-app tracking.
  • Network Information: Technical network information (such as connection type) used to diagnose performance issues, where enabled.

c. Optional AI Features

If you turn on "AI Features" in Settings (available to Unora Pro subscribers), the relevant email or message content you choose to summarize, or that is scanned to detect tasks and dates for reminders, is sent to Google's Gemini API (via Firebase AI Logic) for processing. This feature is off by default, can be turned off at any time in Settings, and content sent for processing is not retained by Google beyond what is necessary to generate the response, in accordance with Google's Gemini API Additional Terms of Service.

d. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party service providers, each of which processes certain information described above under its own privacy policy:

  1. Google AdMob — advertising
  2. InMobi — advertising (ad mediation partner)
  3. Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) — advertising (ad mediation partner)
  4. Google User Messaging Platform — advertising consent management
  5. Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Performance Monitoring, and Firebase Remote Config — analytics, diagnostics, and app configuration
  6. Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In — account sign-in
  7. Apple — Sign in with Apple, payment processing, and push notifications
  8. RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management
  9. Google Gemini API — optional AI Features (see 2c above)

These providers do not have access to the content of your connected accounts except where explicitly described in this Policy (such as the optional AI Features).

e. What Are My Opt-Out Rights?

  • You can decline App Tracking Transparency to limit advertising-identifier collection, and manage ad personalization at any time via Settings > Privacy Options (powered by Google's consent management platform).
  • You can turn off AI Features at any time in Settings.
  • You can halt all collection of information by the App by uninstalling it, using the standard uninstall process for your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and Secure the Service: Operate, maintain, and protect the App and your account, including detecting fraud and abuse.
  • Process Subscriptions: Manage your Unora Pro subscription or paid-download entitlement, including via our subscription management provider, RevenueCat.
  • Serve and Measure Advertising: Show ads to non-subscribers and measure their performance, via Google AdMob and its mediation partners.
  • Improve the App: Troubleshoot issues, analyze crash logs and usage trends, and enhance performance and features.
  • Provide Optional AI Features: Process content you submit for AI-assisted summarization or reminders, if you enable this feature.
  • Comply with Legal Obligations: Comply with applicable law and respond to valid legal requests.

Each third-party service listed in Section 2d uses the information it receives as described in its own privacy policy, linked above.

4. Payments and Subscriptions

Unora is a paid download and/or offers auto-renewing subscriptions ("Unora Pro"), depending on the region and time of your purchase. All payments are processed exclusively through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Beyond Logic does not collect or store your payment card details — Apple's terms and privacy policy govern the handling of payment information (see Apple's Privacy Policy).

To manage your subscription entitlement, we use RevenueCat, which receives your account email, display name, account identifier, device push token, and information about which Messaging Services you have connected, in order to determine your subscription status and enable relevant support. RevenueCat does not receive your payment card details.

Refunds, billing disputes, and cancellations are handled exclusively by Apple. See Section 4 of our Terms of Service for details.

5. Sharing Your Information

Beyond Logic does not sell your personal data. We share information only as follows:

  • Service Providers: With the third-party service providers listed in Section 2d, solely to provide the App's functionality (analytics, crash diagnostics, advertising, subscription management, sign-in, and optional AI Features).
  • Legal Compliance: If required by law, we may share limited account or diagnostic information, but we do not have access to and cannot provide message content from your connected Messaging Services, except any content you have separately submitted to the optional AI Features while that feature was enabled.
  • Corporate Changes: In case of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred, with notice provided to you.

6. Your Privacy Rights

a. GDPR (European Union/EEA)

Beyond Logic AB is the data controller for the personal data described in this Policy. If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request details of the data we process about you.
  • Correct: Update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Object or Restrict: Limit certain data processing activities, including objecting to processing for advertising purposes.
  • Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Lodge a Complaint: File a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), or with the supervisory authority in your own EU/EEA country of residence.

b. California and Other U.S. State Privacy Laws

If you are a California resident, or a resident of another U.S. state with a comparable privacy law, you have the right to:

  • Know: Access details of data collected about you.
  • Delete: Request deletion of your data, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Opt Out of Sale/Sharing: Our use of advertising identifiers with AdMob and its mediation partners for ad personalization and measurement may be considered "sharing" under some state laws. You can opt out at any time by declining App Tracking Transparency and using the Privacy Options control in Settings.
  • Non-Discrimination: Exercise your privacy rights without discrimination.

To exercise any of the above rights, contact us at privacy@unora.se. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

7. How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data involved, including:

  • Local, device-level storage of Messaging Service credentials, protected using iOS-provided encryption.
  • Encrypted network connections (TLS) between the App and the service providers listed in Section 2d.
  • Access controls limiting who at Beyond Logic can access account or diagnostic data.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Message Content: Not stored on Unora-operated servers. Any message data remains on your device and within the respective Messaging Services, subject to their own retention policies.
  • Crash Logs and Diagnostic Data: Retained for up to 90 days, unless a longer period is needed to investigate a recurring or unresolved issue.
  • Analytics, Advertising, and Attribution Data: Retained by Google, our advertising mediation partners, and RevenueCat in accordance with their own retention schedules, as described in the privacy policies linked in Section 2d.
  • Customer Support Communications: Retained for up to 24 months after the issue is resolved, unless a longer period is required for legal or compliance purposes.
  • AI Feature Content: Not retained by Google beyond what is necessary to generate a response, per Section 2c.
  • Legal and Compliance Data: Retained for the legally mandated period, where applicable law requires it.

If you uninstall the App, locally stored data is removed from your device. You may also request deletion of any account or diagnostic data we control by contacting privacy@unora.se; we will process deletion requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law. Note that deleting your Unora account does not delete data held by the third-party Messaging Services you connected — those are subject to their own retention and deletion policies.

9. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use cookies on www.unora.se. Within the App itself, we do not use browser cookies, but we do use device- and advertising-identifiers as described in Section 2b, which you can limit as described in Section 2e.

10. Children's Privacy

Unora is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age, or under the age of digital consent in your country if that age is lower than 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below this threshold. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately at privacy@unora.se and we will delete it.

11. International Data Transfers

Beyond Logic AB is established in Sweden (EU/EEA). Some of the service providers listed in Section 2d, including Google and RevenueCat, may process data in the United States or other countries outside the EU/EEA. Where this occurs, we rely on the safeguards those providers make available, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure your data continues to receive an equivalent level of protection.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices. Updates will be posted on our website with a revised "effective as of" date. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
